WHALE BONE PLINTH

This illuminated, 360 degree rotating plinth showcases an Inuit sculpture, hand carved from a segment of whale vertebra.

Inspired by the organic forms of the whale vertebra and the Inuit syllabics, Sabina abstracted and reinterpreted these to create a ‘totem’ paying homage to the whale bone carving which it supports and illuminates. Motifs laser cut in anodized aluminum, along with a painted base and LED bulb on dimmer switch.
